This is one of the most meaningful projects we’ve ever worked on.

Faye came into the shop to buy a necklace for her daughter, but while she was here we noticed her engagement ring needed some attention and her wedding ring had never sat nicely alongside it. We spoke about remaking both, and when we showed her some of our past pieces containing ashes, the idea came to life.

We created a brand new engagement ring and wedding ring that now fit together perfectly, with two small chambers holding the ashes of her child she sadly lost, one on the outside she can see, and one on the inside she can feel. These rings will carry that memory with her every day.

This 18ct yellow gold Rolex Lady Datejust came in completely unwearable — the bracelet had snapped clean through at the end piece link, leaving the watch unable to sit safely on the wrist. For a timepiece of this quality and heritage, that’s a real shame.

Gold bracelet failures like this don’t happen often, but when they do, they require extremely careful work. Simply patching the link isn’t enough — the repair has to be strong, invisible, and true to the original finish. We carefully rebuilt the broken section, restored the structure, and refinished the surface to match the surrounding gold.

This ring started life as a single round brilliant cut diamond — a beautiful stone on its own, but the client wanted something that felt more complete and personal. We added two additional diamonds: a pear shape on one side and an emerald cut on the other, creating a striking three-stone arrangement that’s full of contrast and character.

Each shape brings something different to the design — the elegance of the pear, the clean lines of the emerald, and the timeless sparkle of the round. Together, they completely transform the original ring into something bold, unique, and totally bespoke.

It’s a perfect example of what we love doing at Lords: taking something special and reimagining it in a way that feels entirely new, without losing its original meaning.
